SASSA Will Take Expert Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.

SASSA will be rendering solutions for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency reported it is alarmed in regards to the significant amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme here [ICROP] is to reach-out to a high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The support stage established for intervention encounters a high inflow of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it tricky to the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to allow the servicing of all prospects and raise entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
